HOW TO APPLY
To determine whether your program might fit with the Ross Foundation, please read our Guidelines and Who Can Apply links.
Step 1. Online Inquiry/Eligibility
Please note, this is the only application step that may be done online. All other procedures must be done by postal mail. You may contact us at info@dhrossfoundation.org.
You may email a one-page summary (English only) outlining who you are, location of grant, project description, and amount of your request. The Foundation will reply within two weeks with an invitation to apply or a turndown. If you are certain your project fits our guidelines, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2. Grant Application
Please refer to our Guidelines for all proposal requirements. If you are applying outside the United States, additional requirements are listed under Who Can Apply. Your five copies of the proposal must be sent to our offices by postal mail.
Construction and purchasing requests must be accompanied by proof that you are the organization that holds title (ownership) to the property or have been deeded use of the property from your government.
Step 3. Decision Making Process
The Foundation staff is responsible for initial screening of funding requests. If the Foundation staff finds that your proposal is incomplete, we will contact you and try to assist you with the necessary information. The Board of Trustees meets quarterly to evaluate and approve grants.
All applicants will be notified within one month following the decision by the Board of Trustees. All applicants to be recommended will be notified of the date of the meeting at which their proposal will be considered.
